“Tapi, sebetulnya itu bukan karena sistem,” ujar Supri dihubungi melalui WhatsApp, Kamis (3/8/2023) malam.
Menanggapi bila disebutkan akibat ketika belajar di SD’nya, itu tidak betul juga dan itu bukan masalahnya.
“Jadi, ini mah lebih ke kemauan anaknya. Terus, motivasi orang tua dan mungkin dari ketelatenan gurunya juga,” katanya.
Dan sebenarnya, siswa-siswa itu semuanya di sekolah umum dan bukan anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK).
Sebenarnya, mereka itu anak-anak yang normal dan mungkin kalau semua pihak mau bekerja keras terutama dari lingkungan keluarga.
“Terus di sekolahnya dari bapak ibu gurunya, ya insyaallah mungkin tidak akan ada (tidak ada siswa yang tidak bisa membaca). Walaupun mungkin, tetap biasanya suka ada. Tapi, tidak akan banyak,” ucap Supri.
Meskipun demikian, pihak sekolah khususnya SMP sudah melakukan program pengetesan semacam literasi.
“Itu bagus untuk motivasi semua. Termasuk kami dari Dinas Pendidikan, jadi lebih menekankan, jadi lebih melakukan pengawasan juga kepada semua sekolah dan semua guru untuk lebih bersungguh – sungguh agar anak-anak kita bisa lebih bisa membaca dan tentunya paham dengan apa yang mereka baca,” katanya.
