LENSAPANGANDARAN.COM – Kurangi sampah plastik di lingkungan sekolah, siswa-siswi SMP di Pangandaran diwajibkan membawa perlengkapan makan dan minum.
Satu program mengurangi sampah plastik ini perdana dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Kalipucang Kabupaten Pangandaran Jawa Barat.
Kepala SMPN 1 Kalipucang, H. Suharno mengatakan, ini merupakan satu program yang tercipta di sekolahnya.
“Mungkin ini program yang dianggap baru, karena merubah kebiasaan anak-anak yang biasanya jajan pakai apa saja (seperti plastik) tapi sekarang mereka jajan harus bawa alat sendiri,” ungkapnya kepada di sekolahnya, Selasa (14/11/2023).
Anak-anak membawa alat seperti membawa misting dan tumbler, sehingga nantinya diharapkan tidak ada sampah di lingkungan sekolah.
“Karena memang, tidak ada kemasan jajan seperti plastik lagi. Semua anak yang jajan harus pakai alat itu (misting dan tumbler),” papar Suharno.
Program ini bertujuan untuk sekolah yang sehat atau lingkungan yang sehat supaya tidak terjadi banyak sampah.
“Kalau nanti sisanya masih ada sampah, kita telah menyiapkan duta lingkungan,” paparnya.
Duta lingkungan tersebut yang nantinya akan menyelesaikan permasalah sampah-sampah yang masih tersisa di lingkungan sekolah.
“Nanti, sisa-sisa sampah tersebut dipilah dan bekerjasama dengan bank sampah,” jelasnya.
Bupati Pangandaran Jeje Wiradinata menyampaikan, inovasi program penanganan sampah ini diharapkan anak-anak bisa belajar untuk mengelola lingkungan hidup yang sehat.
“Ya, juga belajar untuk jangan membuang sampah sembarang dan fokus bagimana belajar dengan baik,” kata Jeje.
Tidak hanya di SMPN 1 Kalipucang, inovasi program penanganan sampah di lingkungan sekolah juga akan berjalan di SMP lainnya.
