Selain itu, banjir juga disebabkan dari kiriman sungai Citanduy yang meluap.
Akibat terendam banjir, para petani pun terancam tidak bisa menanam padi lahan persawahan tersebut.
Lahan persawahan yang tergenang banjir ini berada di blok Liposos dan Kedungpalumpung Dusun Babakansari, Desa Ciganjeng, Kecamatan Padaherang, Kabupaten Pangandaran, Jawa barat.
Kepala Desa Ciganjeng, Imang Wardiman mengatakan, area persawahan terendam banjir mulai hari Sabtu 8 Oktober 2022.
“Area persawahan yang terendam banjir itu, ada sekitar 300 hektar. Yang dimulai dari batas tanggul perbatasan Desa Tunggilis yang jebol,” katanya, Jum’at (14/10/2022).
Menurut Ia, tanggul di perbatasan tersebut sebelumnya sempat diperbaiki oleh Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai.
“Tapi, sekarang jebol lagi. Ketinggian banjir di area sawah dekat jalan raya ada sekitar 1 sampai 1,5 meter. Kalau ditengah sawah, kemungkinan tinggi 2 sampai 3 meter,” ucapnya.
Tapi untungnya, kata Ia, padi di lahan persawahan tersebut sudah dipanen para petani.
“Sekarang, ada sebagian sawah yang sudah mulai di traktor (dibajak pakai mesin traktor). Malah, sudah ada yang membuat benih padi di sawah,” jelasnya.
Karena terendam banjir, ada kemungkinan para petani gagal menanam padi. “Harusnya kan, pertengahan bulan Oktober sekarang mulai tanam,” ungkap Imang. (*)
