Peristiwa ini tepatnya terjadi di wilayah Sambong, Desa Karangmulya, Kecamatan Padaherang Kabupaten Pangandaran, Jum’at (22/9/2023) sekitar pukul 11:00 WIB.
Kebakaran yang meludeskan lahan pabrik seluas sekitar 200 bata tersebut belum diketahui penyebabnya.
Kapolsek Padaherang, Iptu Aan Supriatna mengatakan, lahan yang mengalami kebakaran ada sekitar 200 bata.
“Ada sekitar 200 bata yang ludes terbakar. Barang – barang termasuk mesin yang berada di lokasi habis terbakar,” jelasnya.
Saat ini, pihaknya bersama relawan, warga dan pemerintah setempat melakukan pemadaman.
“Api cepat membesar karena selain cocopeat yang mudah terbakar, bangunannya juga terbuat dari pohon dan kondisi anginnya kencang,” paparnya.
Karena, banyak barang-barang berharga ludes terbakar, pemilik mengalami kerugian sekitar Rp 1 miliar.
“Kerugian ada Rp 1 Miliar. Karena, mesin pengolahan cocopeat juga hangus terbakar,” kata Aan. (*)
