Peristiwa ini terjadi pada Sabtu (23/9/2023) sekitar pukul 05.30 WIB saat perahu yang ditumpangi 4 nelayan hendak menarik jaring ikan di laut.
Selain perahu rusak, 3 nelayan harus dirawat di Puskesmas Kalipucang dan 1 nelayan dinyatakan meninggal dunia dan sudah ditemukan terdampar di bebatuan karang di pantai Karapyak.
Identitas nelayan asal Karang Anyar Kabupaten Cilacap Jawa Tengah yakni Faisal (32), Abi (35) Kanto (37) dan Mimang (37).
Sedangkan 1 nelayan korban yang dinyatakan meninggal dunia dan sempat dilakukan pencarian bernama Mimang (37).
Korpos SAR di Pangandaran, Edwin mengatakan, kejadian terjadi saat perahu yang ditumpangi 4 nelayan tergulung ombak saat menarik jaring ikan di laut Karapyak.
“Jadi, sebelum tenggelam, perahu tersebut digulung ombak selama dua kali,” jelasnya di Pantai Karapyak, Sabtu (23/9/2023).
Untuk lokasi kejadiannya, ada sekitar 1,2 mil dari bibir pantai dan korban ditemukan dengan radius 400 meter dari lokasi TKP.
“Kondisi korban satu nelayan meninggal dunia sudah ditemukan dan dibawa ke rumah duka. Kemudian, tiga nelayan dirawat di Puskesmas Kalipucang,” paparnya.
Sementara untuk evakuasi di lapangan pihaknya melibatkan SAR gabungan yang ada di Pangandaran.
Di antaranya, TNI AL, SatPol Airud Polres Pangandaran, Koramil Kalipucang, Basarnas, Polsek Kalipucang, life guard Balawista, sigap persis, SAR Wijaya Kusuma, Tagana, warga dan relawan lainnya.
