LENSAPANGANDARAN.COM – Pelajar Sekolah Menengah Kejujuran Negeri (SMKN) 1 Padaherang Kabupaten Pangandaran berhasil menduduki juara dua di ajang Suzuki Vocational contest region se-Jawa Barat 2023.
Pertandingan tersebut dilaksakan pada hari Selasa (10/10) lalu di Ruang Training Service PT. Nusantara Jaya Sentosa Jl. Soekarno Hatta No. 289 Bandung.
Kepala program keahlian, Kukuh Septiyanto mengatakan, anak didiknya bernama Wasto pelajar kelas Xll telah mengalahkan 24 Sekolah SMK se-Jawa Barat.
“Pertandingan ini melibatkan guru dan siswa. Tes awalnya yaitu tes teori secara daring di masing-masing sekolah” katanya saat diwawancarai Senin, (16/10/2023) di area sekolah.
Menurutnya, Di dalam tes teori sangat ketat, tidak boleh ada suara. Tak hanya itu, ia juga menyebut, bila terdengar suara bising maka peserta tersebut akan di diskualifikasi.
“karena mungkin takutnya ada bantuan dari orang lain. Maka dari itu saya membutuhkan ruangan paling belakang karena harus benar-benar silent” katanya.
Setelah melewati tes tersebut, siswa SMK Negeri 1 Padaherang masuk di urutan sepuluh besar dan menduduki peringkat tiga.
“Dari sepeluh besar ini dilakukan tes lagi dan di ambil tiga peserta untuk melaju ke final. Alhamdulillah kita masuk di urutan nomer 3” ungkapnya.
Ia mengatakan, pada tanggal 10 oktober lalu pihaknya di undang kembali untuk memperebutkan juara pertama.
“Dan hasil ahirnya kita juara 2 dengan hadiah transmisi dan engine blok mobil. Sedangkan juara pertamanya dapat hadiah mobil Suzuki brezza” ucapnya.
Ia menjelaskan, para juri yang terlibat pasca perlombaan bukan orang sembarangan, juri tersebut diambil dari pusat (Jakarta).
“Bahkan ada dua orang asli dari Jepang ikut hadir” katanya.
Kepala Sekolah melalui humas, Yudi mengatakan sangat mengapresiasi, ia mengaku bangga dengan prestasi yang telah diraih Wasto dan pihak pembimbing jurusan otomotif SMK Negeri 1 Padaherang.

Dengan keberhasilan ini kata Yudi, akan menjadikan pecut untuk siswa yang lain terutama untuk adik kelas di SMK Negeri 1 Padaherang.
