Saat menuju objek wisata Citumang, pengunjung bisa melihat keindahan pemandangan persawahan, perbukitan dan perkampungan di sepanjang jalan.
Sesampainya di parkiran wisata Citumang, pengunjung bisa masuk ke dalam objek wisata Citumang dengan didampingi oleh pemandu wisata.
Setelah masuk, pengunjung berjalan kaki sembari melihat keindahan tebing yang cukup tinggi dan berada di samping kiri-kanan jalan.
Selain itu, banyaknya pohon yang rindang dan indahnya suara burung yang merdu bisa membuat pengunjung nyaman.
Tidak lama berjalan kaki, pengunjung bisa sampai ke sungai Citumang yang indah dan memiliki warna gradasi hijau toska dan biru.
Sumber airnya pun berasal dari bawah tanah atau rembesan dari bebatuan yang berada di pinggir sungai Citumang.
Objek wisata Citumang memiliki goa sepanjang 35 meter dan di dalam goa ada sungai yang memiliki kedalaman sekitar 3 sampai 4 meter.
Di goa tersebut, para pengunjung bisa melakukan cliff jumping yang tentu dengan didampingi oleh pemandu wisata.
Penamaan Citumang ini, berawal dari adanya air terjun yang menyerupai sebuah tungku yang diartikan menjadi tumang.
Ci berarti air atau sungai dan Tumang diartikan sebuah tungku.
Kini, Citumang menjadi terkenal dengan sebutan body rafting Citumang, green valley Citumang dan Sungai Citumang. (*)
