LENSAPANGANDARAN.COM – Tumpukan sampah tak terduga sebanyak 10 kontainer terdampar di pesisir pantai Barat Pangandaran Jawa Barat Jum’at, (19/1/2024).
Kabid Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Kabupaten Pangandaran, Wagiso mengatakan, Sampah tersebut berasal dari sungai yang kemudian terseret oleh angin laut.
“inilah akibatnya bila masyarakat membuang sampah ke sungai dan muaranya di laut”, Ujar Wagiso saat di wawancarai di lokasi Pantai Barat Pangandaran.
Dia menklaim sampah-sampah yang timbul di wilayah pantai Pangandaran berasal dari masyarakat yang membuang sampah ke sungai.
“Saya memohon kepada masyarakat yang tinggal di pinggiran sungai jangan membuang sampahnya ke sungai” Katanya.
Koordinator Satgas Jaga Lembur, Ade ntik mengaku, hal tersebut sering terjadi di Pantai Pangandaran. Terlebih dimusim banjir.
“Kalau ada angin barat pasti sampah-sampah seperti sampah kayu dan plastik terbawa kesini (Pantai Barat Pangandaran)”, Katanya.
Oleh sebab itu, Kata Ade, pihaknya menurunkan anggotanya untuk berkolaborasi dengan DLH, Masyarakat dan para pedagang membersihkan sampah tersebut.
Pantauan dilokasi, ratusan masyarakat yang tergabung dari empat unsur membersihkan sampah di area pesisir pantai Barat Pangandaran.
Sampah tersebut berjenis sampah plastik, kayu dan sampah bekas makanan.
Setelah itu, Sampah tersebut dikumpulkan dan di angkut oleh kendaraan DLH dibuang ke Tempat Pembuangan Ahir (TPA). (art).
