Perwakilan Duta Baca Putera asal Pangandaran Muhammad Wildan Nursaputra meraih juara 2 pemilihan Duta Baca yang diselenggarakan Dinas Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Barat.
Peserta Pemilihan Duta Baca Jawa Barat diikuti 26 Kabupaten/Kota, hanya satu yang absen dari Kota Cirebon.
Ketua Paguyuban Duta Baca Pangandaran, Aldi Nur Fadillah mengatakan, perwakilan Pangandaran Wildan (putera) dan Sipa (puteri) telah memberikan yang terbaik dalam setiap tahapannya.
“Mereka merupakan juara pemilihan duta baca Pangandaran yang meraih prestasi di tingkat Jawa Barat tahun 2023,” kata Aldi, Selasa (14/3/2023).
Menurutya tahapan pemilihan duta baca tingkat provinsi Jabar dilaksanakan Dispusipda dan Paguyuban Duta Baca Jabar berjalan dengan lancar.
“Mereka melaksanakan tahapan seleksi administrasi, tes tulis wawasan umum dan tentang perpustakaan, serta wawancara terbuka terkait pengembangan diri,” ucap Aldi.
Ia mengatakan perwakilan Kabupaten Pangandaran masuk 30 besar di Jawa Barat, kemudian diseleksi sampai 6 besar dan hanya masuk 1 kandidat yaitu Wildan.
“Sipa perwakilan puteri masuk sampai 20 besar saja, alhamdulillah mereka memberikan yang terbaik,” katanya.
Hasil seleksi dan karantina selama dua hari di Grand Final Wildan keluar sebagai juara 2 Duta Baca Jawa Barat.
“Alhamdulillah kami 3 kali berturut-turut menorehkan juara, padahal Pangandaran merupakan daerah yang baru,” ucapnya.
Kendati demikian, kata Aldi, mereka punya tugas penting dalam setahun kedepan dalam meningkatkan kegemaran membaca di masyarakat.
“Mereka masih punya tugas penting di Pangandaran yaitu bermitra dengan Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kabupaten Pangandaran,” ucapnya.
Aldi mengucapkan terimakasih kepada semua pihak yang telah mendukung dan mendoakan kelancaran terhadap perwakilan Pangandaran.
“Saya juga sangat terimakasih kepada pemerintah Kabupaten Pangandaran karena telah support kami dalam setiap program dan kegiatan,” katanya.
