LENSAPANGANDARAN.COM – Pelajar di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri (SMPN) 1 Mangunjaya kabupaten Pangandaran Jawa Barat tidak bisa membaca dan menulis.
Hal tersebut membuat Dewan guru, Dian Eka Purnawati yang sekaligus koordinator Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) merasa miris.
Menurutnya, pada tahun 2023/2024 tercatat 29 Siswa-siswi di SMPN 1 mangunjaya tidak bisa membaca yang di dominasi dengan pelajar laki-laki.
“Kelas VII tercatat 11 Siswa, kelas VIII 16 Siswa, dan kelas IX terdapat 2 Siswa” katanya saat di wawancarai Rabu, (3/8/2023).
Dian mengaku prihatin, dirinya mengatakan, penyebabnya pelajar tidak bisa mebaca lantaran dampak Covid-19 pasalnya, pembelajaran kurang efektif ketika duduk di bangku Sekolah Dasar (SD).
Selain itu, Pihak orang tua terlalu sibuk dengan aktivitasnya sehingga tidak ada stimulus dan bimbingan belajar dari orang tua.
“Saya merasa Sedih, kasian, khawatir mereka minder di kelas. Makanya, saya biasanya memberi tanda pada buku nilai, siswa-siswi tersebut biasanya saya cek lagi dgn tes Lisan” kata dia.
Menurut Dian, disekolah lain pun sama terdapat banyak memiliki keluhan mengenai siswa yang tidak dapat membaca di jenjang smp
