LENSAPANGANDARAN.COM – Penjabat Gubernur Jawa Barat Bey Machmudin membuka Semiloka Pengembangan Kawasan Wisata Pangandaran dalam Menggali Arah Strategi Pangandaran sebagai Destinasi dalam Dimensi Pariwisata Baru di El Hotel Bandung, Kamis (19/10/2023).
Bey mengatakan, Pangandaran merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata favorit di Jabar yang sering dikunjungi dengan beragam potensi dan daya tarik baik berupa pantai pasir putih, ombak yang besar bagi peselancar, cagar alam, budaya lokal hingga kuliner yang khas.
Oleh karena itu Pemda Provinsi Jabar melalui Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Jawa Barat mendukung pembangunan infrastruktur di Pangandaran untuk mempermudah akses bagi wisatawan.
Selain akses jalan, potensi lain pun harus dikembangkan mulai dari sumber daya alam, sumber daya manusia, juga penduduk sehingga bisa menjadi pelaku usaha.
Namun yang terpenting, menurut Bey adalah bagaimana masyarakat Jabar mempunyai kesadaran dalam menjaga kebersihan maupun keelokan tempat wisata.
“Maka harus dioptimalkan kemanfaatannya ataupun promosinya. Itu semua menjadi usaha kita bersama menjadikan Pangandaran sebagai tempat wisata yang dikenal,” ungkap Bey.
Pengembangan daerah Pangandaran didukung dalam Peraturan Presiden Nomor 87 Tahun 2021 tentang Percepatan Pembangunan Kawasan Rebana dan Kawasan Jawa Barat Bagian Selatan, yang merupakan wujud komitmen pemerintah untuk mempercepat pembangunan di kawasan Jabar bagian selatan, khususnya Pangandaran.
“Dengan adanya Perpres ini diharapkan semakin meningkatkan daya saing dan kualitas pariwisata Pangandaran,” ujar Bey.
Sementara itu Kepala Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Jabar Benny Bachtiar menuturkan, kegiatan ini merupakan tindak lanjut Perpres No 87 Tahun 2021.
Sejak Gubernur Jawa Barat periode Ahmad Heryawan hingga Ridwan Kamil sudah membuat dua magnet Ciletuh dan Pangandaran dalam upaya mengembangkan potensi Jabar selatan.
“Jabar utara merupakan kawasan Rebana untuk pengembangan industri manufaktur, tapi kalau kawasan Jabar selatan ini akan dikembangkan menjadi kawasan wisata terutama baharinya,” paparnya.
Karena itu harus ada penataan yang lebih baik dalam mewujudkan kawasan wisata Pangandaran yang dikenal.
“Nanti ke depannya ke sebelah barat akan dibuatkan kawasan wisata khusus atau premium,” kata Benny.
