Mahasiswa PSDKU Unpad Pangandaran melangsungkan aksi tolak RUU Pilkada dengan makam demokrasi di depan gedung DPRD Kabupaten Pangandaran, Jawa Barat, Sabtu, (24/82024).
Ratusan mahasiswa dari PSDKU Unpad Pangandaran hari ini menggelar aksi demonstrasi menolak Rancangan Undang-Undang Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (RUU Pilkada).
Koordinator Lapangan aksi, Namira Najma Humaira mengatakan, aksi ini diadakan langsung di depan gedung DPRD Kabupaten Pangandaran, dengan puncak acara berupa simbolisasi ‘Makam Demokrasi’ yang menjadi sorotan utama.
Massa aksi sempat berkumpul di Masjid Al-Amanah di Jalan Raya Parigi pada pukul 14.30 WIB.
Tak lama setelah itu, massa melakukan long march dari Masjid Al-Amanah menuju DPRD Kabupaten Pangandaran sembari menyanyikan lagu-lagu pergerakan mahasiswa.
“Tuntutan Mahasiswa dalam Aksi Tolak RUU Pilkada RUU Pilkada menghadapi kritik tajam karena beberapa perubahan yang diusulkan dianggap tidak sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip demokrasi,” ungkapnya.
Menurutnya, perubahan ambang batas partai politik dalam Pilkada, yang menurunkan persyaratan untuk partai-partai politik agar dapat ikut serta dalam pemilihan. Hal itu memicu kekhawatiran mengenai transparansi dan keadilan proses pemilihan.
Sebab, Putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK) Nomor 70/PUU-XXII/2024 yang menggagalkan Putusan MA No. 23P/Hum/2024 juga menjadi sorotan.
“Putusan ini mengubah regulasi yang sebelumnya memungkinkan Kaesang, putra Presiden Jokowi, untuk mengikuti Pilkada 2024,” ujarnya.
Langkah ini kata di, dianggap sebagai bagian dari upaya untuk memperluas pengaruh politik dalam pemilihan.
Sementara itu, pembahasan RUU Pilkada dilakukan secara kilat oleh Badan Legislatif DPR-RI, tanpa melibatkan partisipasi publik yang memadai.
Hal ini menambah kekhawatiran tentang legitimasi proses pembuatan undang-undang dan transparansi dalam pemerintahan.
Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa PSDKU Unpad Pangandaran mengungkapkan enam tuntutan utama dalam aksi mereka, yaitu:
Pertama, mengutuk dengan tegas segala usaha yang merusak semangat dan esensi reformasi serta melawan segala upaya yang meruntuhkan demokrasi.
Kedua, Menuntut DPR untuk tunduk pada putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi (MK).
“Ketiga, menghapus praktik nepotisme dalam lembaga pemerintahan,” kata dia.
Kemudian keempat, menuntut setiap anggota DPR untuk menjunjung tinggi nilai demokrasi dengan menempatkan kepentingan rakyat diatas kepentingan partai.
Kelima, menuntut Presiden Joko Widodo untuk tidak mengkhianati demokrasi demi kepentingan keluarga dan kelompoknya.
“Terakhir keenam, menghentikan intervensi politik dalam penetapan RUU Pilkada,” ungkapnya.
Dalam aksi ini, mahasiswa membangun replika makam menggunakan tumpukan tanah dengan nisan bertuliskan “RIP Demokrasi”.
Nisan tersebut kata dia, kemudian ditaburi bunga oleh perwakilan massa aksi sebagai simbol protes terhadap kebijakan yang dianggap merugikan prinsip-prinsip demokrasi.
Selain simbolisasi tersebut, aksi ini juga diwarnai dengan mimbar bebas yang dibuka untuk umum.
Sejumlah masyarakat sekitar ikut turun dan menyampaikan orasinya di depan Gedung DPRD Kabupaten Pangandaran.
Dalam suasana mimbar bebas, Namira, menanyakan secara retoris kepada peserta, “Apakah negara ini milik dinasti atau milik rakyat?”.
“Pertanyaan ini menggarisbawahi kekhawatiran mahasiswa tentang potensi politik dinasti dalam pemerintahan dan menegaskan tuntutan mereka untuk memastikan bahwa kekuasaan tetap berada di tangan rakyat,” jelasnya.
Namun, DPRD Kabupaten Pangandaran Absen Saat Aksi Berlangsung. Menurut dia, Selama aksi berlangsung, tidak terlihat adanya perwakilan dari DPRD Kabupaten Pangandaran.
Mahasiswa menganggap ketidakhadiran pihak berwenang ini sebagai indikasi kurangnya respon terhadap aspirasi mereka, menambah ketegangan dalam demonstrasi.
Ia menyatakan bahwa mereka akan terus mengawal isu ini dan melawan berbagai bentuk kecacatan konstitusi.
Mereka berkomitmen untuk menjaga prinsip-prinsip demokrasi dan memastikan bahwa suara rakyat tetap didengar dalam proses politik.
“Aksi ini menjadi salah satu bentuk pernyataan mereka terhadap kebijakan yang dianggap dapat merusak integritas sistem demokrasi di Indonesia,” katanya.
Sebagai penutup, massa aksi melakukan jalan mundur sebagai simbol kemunduran demokrasi.
“Tindakan ini dimaksudkan untuk menunjukkan penurunan kualitas demokrasi yang mereka anggap disebabkan oleh kebijakan-kebijakan yang tidak berpihak pada rakyat,” pungkasnya. (art).
